"The Queen's Speech" is based on a document written in 1983 by the British Secret Service in the event of World War III. The classified document, released by the government under the thirty-year rule in 2013, was created as part of a war-gaming exercise. In this speech, the queen speaks about the outcomes of a nuclear war and the effects of technology on the future battle field. The work was assembled from video segments taken from over 40 annual Christmas messages given by the queen since 1957. They have been edited and reassembled to allow her to give the speech she never gave.
